Property Managers, Partners, and corporate staff gathered on the sandy shores of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in November for the NALS Annual Management Conference. The Resort at Pedregal, recently acquired by Waldorf Astoria, offered a special venue for the company’s 25th Manager’s Conference featuring educational sessions, collaborative roundtables, award presentations and commemoration of the past years’ successes.
A major theme of this year’s conference was health and wealth. Guest speaker, Stephen Hulbert, Senior Vice President at USI Insurance Services discussed NALS’ commitment to providing the highest quality employee benefits. Ashleigh Day presented innovative approaches and strategies that allow employees to maximize their retirement savings. Supporting a culture of wellbeing and engagement has been central to NALS’ long-term success and played a large role in these years’ discussion questions.
The group reviewed new implementations of 2019 and discussed expected challenges and opportunities of various departments such as Operations, Legal, Marketing, and Technology. The learning sessions finished with a Customer Service panel consisting of three Community Managers and two long-term District Managers to discuss shared experiences and new ideas.
The Annual Conference closed with an oceanside dinner tucked into the cliffs at El Farallon, arguably the best restaurant in Cabo San Lucas, followed by annual awards and special recognitions. This year, the top recognitions were awarded to:

2019 Special Recognition: Nancy Howland, Courtney Downs (Englewood, CO)
