We had a fun-filled week across all regions, with each property celebrating its maintenance teams in a unique and personalized way. From delicious catered lunches, personalized gift bags, t-shirts, and amazing decorations, there was truly no shortage of festivities throughout the week. Each team went on an excursion off-property to have an enjoyable afternoon of team-building and fun activities including bowling, top golf, axe-throwing, and paintball.
Maintenance Appreciation Week reminds us of how vital our maintenance teams are to upholding our communities and ensuring resident satisfaction. We are endlessly grateful for the hard work and effort put forth every day by our maintenance teams, and we look forward to keeping this tradition alive moving forward into 2025 and in years to come. ]]>From the very first click of a prospective resident's online search, our leasing teams are there to support future residents every step of the way. They transform prospects into real-life happy residents, greeting them with open arms and big smiles during move-in day.
However, their dedication doesn't stop there. Once residents call NALS home, our leasing agents and assistant managers become their trusted neighbors. They're available to answer questions about the community, navigate any challenges that may arise, and even plan resident events for the community. They offer a listening ear, a helping hand, and a friendly face residents can rely on.
To celebrate these amazing team members, all week long, our community managers pulled out all the party tricks! Imagine desks adorned with personalized decorations, fridges stocked with team-favorite snacks, drinks, and ice creams, their favorite coffee drinks in the mornings, and goody baskets with gift cards and other personalized items!
And it wasn't just about treats! Some teams even got creative with fun activities like a DIY candle-making class that The Overlook at Interquest Apartments in Colorado Springs, CO participated in. At Towne Square Apartment Homes in Chandler, AZ, the celebration truly hit all the right notes with personalized playlists curated for each team member, a delectable donut and bagel bar, and heartwarming thank you notes signed by the entire maintenance team.
The week concluded with fun group outings! The New Mexico teams gathered together to channel their inner artist at a "Paint and Sip" event. Some teams enjoyed celebratory lunches at a local restaurant, while others enjoyed getting outside and going on hikes and exploring local attractions. It was a time for relaxation, laughter, and creating lasting memories with co-workers who have become like family.
At NALS, we are incredibly proud of our leasing agents and assistant managers. They are the heart and soul of our communities, delivering exceptional service and care that goes above and beyond expectations. Office Appreciation Week is our way of showing our immense gratitude for everything they do, day in and day out. We can't wait to celebrate these incredible individuals again next year!

The essence of "NALS Volunteer Week" lies in its distinctive ability to unite teams across the nation in giving back to their local communities. The collective efforts of Team NALS translated into an impressive amount of community service hours, with volunteers contributing their time to shelters, food banks, and mentoring programs.
The HQ Office had the honor of volunteering at PATH Santa Barbara, an interim housing facility that not only provides safe living spaces but also offers a range of essential services, including employment assistance and rapid rehousing. Team members spent the day preparing food, dishing out plates for the lunch service, and assembling hygiene kits to be given out to those in need.
As the NALS Volunteer Week came to an end, heartfelt stories and shared experiences reverberated within the walls of each office. The impact of this collective effort extended beyond the immediate communities served, touching the lives of NALS team members in positive ways. Many employees expressed gratitude for the opportunity to step outside their daily routines and contribute to causes that resonated deeply with them. Bonds created during volunteer activities have transcended the workplace, creating a lasting sense of unity and shared purpose among colleagues.
